Playtime at work

If everybody else had their way, I would be entering my senior year of medical school this coming June. And though I’m in no position to say what my life would be like if I had pursued medicine, I don’t regret not enrolling in UST Med (UST being both my parents’ alma mater from college to med school).

On hindsight, I realize that I had already known what I wanted to do with my life even before high school. When I was a kid, I didn’t play “Doctor, Doctor” and forced my younger sisters to play “Patient, Patient.” If ever we did role-playing that involved a hospital, I wanted to be the patient with the oxygen tubes or something around my nose.
